The Assessment
Learn how to assess, understand (and fix) the gaps in your organization's infrastructure that threaten to keep you underfunded in the nonprofit, and what to do now so that you're ready to run at full capacity. Your organization's ABILITY to identify where you land now, and how to get your vison ready for take off. This will help you to assess 4 critical areas.
PART 1
Finalize Your Administration
Let's talk about compliance and foundational structure. Many organizations just have formation, but no foundation. By the end of this lesson, you will know how to make sure :
- You have all of the nonprofit's documentation in order, where to find them, and how to update and correct them.
- Your documentation is sorted into quick and easy-to-find folders physically and electronically, so you can set yours up.
- Your organization's Board of Directors has a solid foundation in place, and you fix areas that are not legally right.
PART 2
Focus Your Actions
Most get this part wrong as well. There are a number of systems you should have in place, and a legal way to acquire donations online. By the time you complete this session, you will know how to ensure that:
- The Organization has the proper operating systems in place
- The Organization has a business presence online on the right platforms, with the proper attachments.
- The Organization has made itself known in the community and has a donation system in place.

Fix Your Accounting
The Accounting system is the heartbeat of every organization. Let's make sure you are prepared to start receiving donations. You will do this by knowing that:
- The organization has a place for the money to go there are specific ways to set up your accounts.
- The organization has a fund accounting system in place, what this means and how to set it up.
- The organization has financial statements and accounting policies and procedures in place, so that you know how to account for other people's money.
